The Best Movies Never Made
When George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney, he also sold them his scripts for the sequel trilogy, which they never ended up using much to Lucas’ dismay. His original vision for the movies involved an exploration of the source of the force, what he referred to as the midi-chlorians, and a journey into a “microbiotic world” of creatures, called the Whills, who “control the universe”. It also would have involved a self-exiled Luke Skywalker training a new Jedi recruit named Kira on a secluded planet, two concepts that were later rehashed for JJ Abrams’ movie.
