The Best Movies Never Made

Pacific Rim 2 was released in 2018 to negative reviews from fans and critics alike. But the original script, written by Guillermo Del Toro and Travis Beacham, was much different than what we eventually got in theaters. Del Toro’s original plan for the sequel was explore the other side of the rift, or where exactly the Kaiju originated from. It was set to take place in Shanghai as well. That plan was scrapped when Del Toro stepped down from the project due to scheduling issues.
